Hello friends. It's Darrilyn. I prefer to go by my first name for privacy's sake. I also prefer to write my own bio's.

Now, a bit about me.

I was born in Winchester, Ontario, outside of the Canadian capital of Ottawa. I've lived in various places during my lifetime but always eventually return to the lush Ottawa Valley, where I was born. It seems to be the place I'm most inspired. Presently I reside in Petawawa, with my adult nephew P. J. Daniels, who is a prolific published author.

I've always loved to read and write. I won my first writing award in grade 2! It was about the life of a hat that was owned by a bald man! It gave my teachers a lot of chuckles. It was then I knew I had a knack for writing! However, like many maturing writers, I was distracted by life and work and did not begin to take writing seriously until later in my life. Now, I enjoy writing feel-good fiction novels that feature mystery, suspense, love and the supernatural. I also enjoy writing short stories and poetry. Within the next year, you'll be able to enjoy those additions to this website, so keep checking back.
